Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park
at Sewaren Peninsula

Alvin P. Williams Memorial Memorial Park at Sewaren Peninsula is a new 39-acre park that will provide Woodbridge Families with a wide range of passive recreational opportunities.  Woodbridge Township, the Middlesex County Improvement Authority and Middlesex County worked in partnership to develop the site as a natural, passive recreational facility.  Under the project, the site was restored for park use to include a playground, an amphitheater, walkways, open space areas, scenic overlooks and a picnic area.  Located on the Arthur Kill waterway and Smith Creek, the park is being landscaped with trees, bushes, meadows, and grass fields.

The Alvin P. Williams Memorial Park at Sewaren Peninsula Dedication Ceremony took place Saturday, October 27th, 2001 from 2 to 4 p.m. on the Sewaren Peninsula, Sewaren, N.J.  There were refreshments served and they had entertainment from a wind instrument band which played songs such as "Waiting for Robert E. Lee".  The view from the park is beautiful, you can see the historical homes along Cliff Road and the view of the dock.  Off in the distance you can see impressive view of the Outerbridge Crossing.
