I am currently working on a new project as of
1/19/2003, that is colorizing photos that are in monochrome. It is a
time consuming task and I have completed two photos which are posted below.
I have completed the movie poster, here are
the before and after photographs. Click on the image for a larger

What is Peacock Alley?
Below is a description from Sandra, who has obtained the original poster
and has let me borrow it to scan it.
On January 23, 1922 the silent epic 'Peacock Alley' was released. The
film was produced and directed by Robert Z. Leonard for Tiffany Productions.
Mae Murray starred as Cleo from Paris and Monte Blue as Elmer Harmon.
When Elmer Harmon goes to Paris to sign a contract with the French
Government he meets Cleo, a dancer. She is instrumental in acquiring the
contract for him. They fall in love and they marry. Elmer takes his bride
back to his hometown in Pennsylvania. The people of Harmontown are shocked
by Cleo's manners and her Parisian attire. While in New York, Elmer exhausts
his finances. He forges his uncles signature on a check and is arrested.
Cleo, in an effort to raise money for her husband's bail, accepts a
theatrical engagement. Elmer misunderstands her association with an old
friend. He denounces her and returns to Harmontown. Later, he learns the
truth and returns to ask her forgiveness.
Parts of the original 1922 version of 'Peacock Alley' were filmed at the
Sewaren Train Station. The townspeople were allowed to watch the production
from roped off areas.
I've tried to obtain more information on the film and was told this is a
'lost' film.
