School 12, Grade One - 1972


This image was submitted by Jerry Leo. The image is of the 1972 first grade class (also currently known as the Woodbridge Class of 1983) in Sewaren School 12 on Sewaren Avenue, which is now a Baptist Church.

H. C. Turner Residence

This photo was submitted by Todd Howell. The second home of Harry C. Turner in Sewaren at 493 East Ave.

M. E. Turner Residence

These photos were submitted by Todd Howell. "It took a few minutes to realize that the house in the photo was located at 589 West Ave. and I lived in it from 1948 till 1965. It just looked different then. My father, Harry Howell was born in the house and many years later he bought it from Mrs. Morris. It was torn down and a new house is there now."

"The image on the top was taken in 1948 when my father bought the house and the image on the right shows the place after he put siding on it. The porch on the right side was closed in before he purchased it which is why it looks so different from your photo. It was built about 1890."
